About Us

Alexis Bierman
INTEGRATIVE EXPRESSIVE THERAPIST
“I especially love working with trauma survivors, divorced parents, cycle breakers, and folks who’ve felt unseen in traditional therapy spaces.”
Meet Alexis
Hello, I’m Alexis (she/her), the heart behind Creative Fox Counseling Center. My passion lies in guiding individuals through their healing journeys using a blend of traditional therapies and expressive arts. With a background in trauma-informed care, I provide a space where you can explore your experiences safely and creatively.
I started Creative Fox Counseling because I didn’t see my story reflected in traditional therapy spaces. As someone who’s navigated trauma, family court, and creative healing, I believe therapy should be a space where you feel both held and empowered.
My Approach:
- Whole-person Care: Mind, body, relationships, and meaning
- Creative Expression: Encouraging the use of art, movement, and storytelling as tools for healing.
- Empowerment Focused: Supporting you in reclaiming your voice and fostering resilience.
Credentials:
LPC-Associate #98615 under the supervision of Vicki Williams-Patterson, MFA, ATR-BC, LPC-S
Beyond Counseling:
Outside of session, you’ll often find Alexis creating mixed-media mosaics, serving on the board of the Austin Mosaic Guild, and participating in Celebration Circle. Her work is shown at Mockingbird Handprints Gallery, the San Antonio Art League, and Kapej Cafe. She also delights in planning enrichment activities for her chickens.

Paige Crossland
HOLISTIC EXPRESSIVE THERAPIST
“I particularly enjoy supporting neurodivergent individuals and partners, highly sensitive folks, and people navigating identity, anxiety, and complex relationship dynamics.”
Meet Paige
Welcome! My name is Paige Crossland (she/her), therapist, advocate, and neurodiverse individual and partner. I am so grateful you are here!
With a background in trauma-informed care, my approach to therapy is holistic and collaborative, drawing from humanistic, systemic, and existential approaches. I see therapy as a shared journey – one where we slow down, listen deeply, and make sense of the stories that have shaped you.
My Approach:
- Curious Compassion: exploring your experiences, cultivating awareness, personal choice, and understanding how your inner world and relationships shape your growth.
- Creating Felt Safety: my priority is to create a safe and sacred space – a space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to care for yourself in new and meaningful ways.
Credentials:
Licensed Professional Counselor Associate #100501, National Certified Counselor (NCC) #1741046, Supervised by Shannon Baker, LPC-Supervisor -S
Beyond Counseling:
Outside of session, you’ll likely find Paige wandering through a local bookstore, walking in the park, crafting something new, or adding another tattoo to her gallery.
You’re the expert on you!
Founding Principles
01
Culturally Rooted Care
We believe every person’s story lives inside a larger cultural, familial, and spiritual context. Our work is informed by anthropology, psychology, and the study of belief systems, and grounded in professional counseling ethics. That means we pay attention to how culture, community, history, and identity shape your experience—and we adapt our approach with curiosity, humility, and respect.
02
Lived Experience + Advocacy
We know healing doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Our counselors bring their own lived experience with things like neurodivergence, anxiety, and complex relationship dynamics, and we use that awareness to deepen empathy—not to center ourselves. We are steadfast LGBTQIA2S+ allies and are committed to naming and honoring the systemic challenges (such as legal, medical, educational, or economic barriers) that may affect your life. Acknowledging those systems is part of culturally sensitive, best-practice care.
03
Healing the Why, Not Just the What
We see diagnoses and symptoms as starting points, not endpoints. Rather than stopping at “what’s wrong,” we’re interested in the deeper “why”—the patterns, stories, and nervous-system responses that made sense at the time they formed. Our goal is to help you move from surviving to actively participating in your own healing, reconnecting with your Wise Self and building a life that feels more grounded, authentic, and free.
